Dear Luis,

Today we are updating our subscription plans and their pricing to be more aligned with practitioner needs across their private practice journey. I wanted to provide you with more context around these decisions, as well as start the conversation around where I'm optimistic we can grow together. Please join us for a live Q&A on Wednesday, February 5th at 11am PST where you'll get the chance to ask me and other SimplePractice leaders questions.

We spoke with more than 2,000 customers when researching how to improve our product packaging, including gathering feedback on what features customers want, to how much they value them, to how they want to learn about them. We are adding features and functionality that not only have been widely requested, but also align with what we've heard practitioners need as they grow. We are also dedicated to ensuring we price our products to reflect the value they bring, and are fair and transparent about our approach. We've spent significant time and energy internalizing lessons learned from prior changes we have made to pricing and packaging, and have incorporated them with this rollout.

We are committed to being the largest software investors in independent, behavioral health practices, and have been over the past decade. Our pricing changes directly reflect our investment in the platform. As an example, we have more than 400 software developers and customer success team members, which enabled us to build improvements like group appointments, group telehealth, advanced calendar features, continual investment in measurement based care measures, and ePrescribe. Next year we plan to double our hiring investment in software developers, enabling us to deliver even more valuable features and capabilities to you. In addition to the thousands of interviews we conducted with customers on multiple topics in the past year, we also rely heavily on our clinical leaders, Lindsay Oberleitner, PhD, LP and Ken Braslow, MD. They are deeply integrated into every aspect of our product development process and long-term strategic direction of SimplePractice.

SimplePractice is now more than 600 teammates strong, and every one of us gets out of bed every day thinking about how they can improve the lives of our customers because of the critical importance of the work each of you do. We believe deeply in the power of practitioner independence, and we are committed to working alongside you to support your ability to maintain that autonomy. We also know that as independent practitioners, you are still too burdened by many challenges and inefficiencies such as time-consuming administrative tasks, challenges with fair pay and efficient reimbursement, difficulties maintaining and growing your practice and many more issues. It is our responsibility to help to reduce those burdens. We have big ambitions to ensure you have easier and more efficient access to the tools you most need, and are better equipped to practice and grow in the directions you choose.

I hope you'll continue this dialogue with us. Click here to join the conversation on February 5th at 11am PST about where you think SimplePractice can help further the future of private practice. We could not be more honored to be a part of how you deliver care every day.

Thank you for everything you do, you make a difference.

Sincerely,
